Adoption-
Congratulations to Megan S. on her recent adoption of Sully. They make a great pair !!
Painting-
The Knelly family also painted all of our jumps. They look beautiful !!! Thank you Vicki and Daniel for joining in with Ken, Clarice and Cheyenne!
Volunteer-
The Knelly family has decided to take on some more volunteer projects for 2009. So far they have painted the fence of the Quarantine Pen. It looks fantastic!!!! Thank you Ken, Clarice and Cheyenne.
Contest
Congratulations and Special Thanks to Amanda Lipinski !! She recently entered the A.M. Pugh & Assoc. Community Service Essay Contest and won a second place prize of $400.00. Half of the winnings were donated to Kindred Spirits Horse Rescue. Thanks again Amanda...the horses and our rescue really appreciate it !!
Girl Scouts-
June 13th 2009, Girl Scout Troop #142 came to Painted Acres to earn their Horse Fan Badge. They learned about our Rescue and got to meet Romeo Moon , one of our newest rescues. He loved the attention! They also learned how to properly groom horses ( demonstrated with Verify) and got a ride at the end. It was a fun day.
Greenfield Days
On Sunday August 10 we were at Greenfield Days with Apollo the Horse. Thanks to everybody who bought the book, gave us a donation or took rides on Athena.
Without the help of other people the rescue would not be able to go on. Check out some of the pictures below (click on them to see a larger version).
On August 4th, 2008, the Hearts for Horses club came for a tour of our farm and to meet the rescue horses. Special thanks to all of you girls (Abby, Rachel, Nicole, Emma, Zoe, Lauren, Mackenzie, Maddie and their wonderful leader Keely Ehrhardt) for your generous donation.
Special thanks to the Knelly family, Ken, Cheyenne and Clarice for volunteering their time to paint the fence in front of the farm. It needed a new coat very bad!
