Nestled
in a bucolic setting in Northeastern Pennsylvania, Kindred Spirits Horse
Rescue Inc., run by Lori and Brad Bilinsky, seeks to rescue in the
holistic sense......developing and caring for the mind, body and spirit
of the horses they bring to their facility, while at the same time
providing education on proper care and training to the potential
adopter/care giver.
The
connection that can be made between the spirit of a horse requiring
rehabilitation and the spirit of a person who cares for that horse, is a
strong one. Kindred Spirits looks to create, foster and nourish that
bond between human and horse.
Many more
horses in need populate not only Pennsylvania, but can be seen in
statistics from across the nation relative to horses sold at auction and
horses purchased for slaughter. Increasing fuel and feed prices have
contributed to some of the increases in unwanted horses in the United
States.
Kindred
Spirits Rescue realizes that making the difference in a horse's life by
bringing it under the umbrella of rescue and out of the uncertain future
of the auction sales floor or out of a financially struggling owner's
back yard...even if only one horse at a time...is a difference they are
committed to in establishing their rescue goals.
