Baileys Hope

18yr old Standardbred Mare

Bailey's Hope arrived at our farm on 10/23/2008 in a horrible state.  Because she was so severely malnourished her organs were compromised and she only survived 19 days with us.  During her short stay Bailey touched many lives and I am very thankful to all of the people who gave their support.  Bailey was an extraordinary horse and her memory will stay with us always.  I know you are running through lush green pastures with your mane blowing in the wind...Bye sweet Bailey !  We will meet again someday...

Romeo Moon

Romeo passed away unexpectedly during the night.  It has been a total shock and very hard to accept.  Romeo blossumed into this beautiful black pony with the biggest, brownest, sweetest eyes I have ever seen.  He had a hard time trusting people but was making strides with this issue also.  He was a bright spot for me everyday and I always made a special trip to tell him how much I loved him...I miss that very much.
I would like to thank Amanda Lipinski for spending time with him...getting him to accept a rider...she made a difference in his life and for that I am very grateful.  She also wrote a beautiful poem for him which is attached.

Bye beautiful pony....I LOVE YOU !!

Samson

27yr old TB cross

Samson arrived at Kindred Spirits on 5/22/2010 in a horrible state. He was severely malnourished, infested in lice and had major dental issues. On the afternoon of 6/28/2010 Samson had to be euthanized. He had a bad case of colic which got worse as the day went on. Dr Wells was wonderful and tried everything she could to keep Samson going, even coming to the farm twice to check on him. When fluids and banamine were not working anymore the decision was made to let him go. Our hearts are broken. RIP big Samson!! We all loved you, you put up a great fight!

The Rainbow Bridge-

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.

When an animal dies that has been expecially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent. His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross the Rainbow Bridge together...
